Your wedding day is probably the happiest day of your life, but god forbid, it could also turn out to be a disaster if things don’t go according to plan.
There is so much going on prior to the big wedding day and you can’t always take things for granted because let’s face it, crap happens! More often than not, an unexpected turn of events or last minute changes can be stressful as hell. It’s times like these that you don’t think about the things that could happen on your wedding day!
Let’s start planning for those unforeseen situations ahead of schedule, in case…
You Fall Sick on Your Wedding Day
You spend hours and days planning every single event, colour palettes, choice of flowers until suddenly just about everything and all your efforts are rendered useless when you fall sick on your wedding day.
All those endless meetings with your suppliers, late hours and so on hasn’t really paid off.
It’s your big day and you need to wake up fresh, rejuvenated and recharged. No matter how hard you try though, you wake up lifeless and your energy is at an all-time low.
To prevent any illnesses leading up to your big day, it’s important to track your time along with the amount of work you are doing (day job and wedding planning). Save yourself from running beyond your capacity. Take time to exercise, do yoga or meditation, have a salt water bath every now and again to get rid of all the unwanted energies and this shall keep you in good spirits and health right up until your wedding day.
You Run Out Of Time
Are you way too excited for your wedding day and procrastinating on the important tasks?
Perhaps you’re spending too much time catching up with friends, relatives or hubby to be that you forget to finish off wedding planning tasks or even worse, you forget to sleep!
More likely than not, you are super organized. You have your cute little planner or project management tools or good old Excel spreadsheets to refer to, but what happens if you just can’t get everything completed in time?
All it could take is just a good night’s rest. Believe it or not, you could simply just be overreacting. Don’t get carried away stressing the small stuff. Give the utmost priority to your beauty sleep girl!
You Get Unwanted Weather Conditions
Blame it on the weatherman, uggh! We can’t predict the weather and the gods above us are not always going to give us the perfect sunny day. Some couples are often graced with unwanted thunderstorms or heavy showers on their wedding day. The worst that could happen on your wedding day, is flooding. Yikes!
We don’t mean to set off alarms, but weather back up plans should be on your priority list when planning your wedding.

Your Guests Don’t Show Up On Time
Or worse yet, they don’t show up at all!
The thoughts of not having people turn up to your wedding day have resulted in many sleepless nights for brides to be. Those unanswered RSVP’s or the paranoia around your guests spoiling the party by turning up late could ruin everything for you.
You may be the most punctual person on this planet, but your guests aren’t. Be prepared to receive your guest’s way after the expected arrival time. But, don’t let this bother you. Punctuality may not be the only reason. There are other possible unavoidable situations for which your guests don’t show up.

No matter what, under the influence of alcohol, somebody or the other will embarrass you and how are you supposed to deal?

If you’re seriously concerned though, perhaps it may be worth considering wedding insurance.
