Meet Poonam
Hi! I’m Poonam. I’m a Sydney wedding and event planner and stylist.
It wasn’t always about pretty floral décor and glamorous parties though.
In 2013, I left my successful career as a scientist, to follow a creative path.
Friends, colleagues, family and even my husband told me that I seemed to be blessed with an innate talent for entertaining and styling.
For years, I collected bridal magazines, looked up to the likes of Martha Stewart and other lifestyle personalities and followed a plethora of US wedding blogs and wedding planner’s websites too. Little did I know that 5 years later, I would have work published in local and international publications.
My journey into this industry has been so rewarding. From blogging to volunteering, working in hospitality and even interning with wedding and event planners, The Maharani Diaries is the culmination of everything I believe in.
I’m a storyteller and my vision has always been to build a community of talented wedding professionals to support my beautiful couples. It is through this little digital platform, The Maharani Diaries, where I am now able to interact and work with couples from Australia and around the world.
Planning a wedding is complex. I know first-hand. Which is why I am now combining my skills and expertise to guide brides and grooms and their families through this journey. Whether it’s planning your wedding completely or focussing more on coordination, I am excited about being a part of your special day.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing your beautiful wedding or event vision come to life. I am here to create out of the box and memorable experiences for you and your loved ones. Get in touch with us today and we can catch up over a phone call or coffee.
Last but not least, I want to dedicate this message to my mother (hope you’re listening up above). Finally, I’m doing what I love!
xo Poonam.
