Sydney couple, Leena and Aakash’s world turned upside down when they, like many other South Asian couples out there had to make the painful decision to cancel their big fat wedding. Instead of waiting around though, this couple decided to go ahead with their original wedding date and host an intimate Sikh wedding with their parents.

Wedding photographer, Pannila Photographer were kind enough to share the beautiful photographs from their wedding day. Also, a huge thanks to Leena for sharing the story with us.

Lately, we’ve been blessed to feature so many fusion wedding celebrations.

Shay and Uppi’s wedding celebration in Brisbane started with a modern and romantic garden wedding at the stunning, Boulevard Gardens followed by a colourful Indian wedding reception party at Rydges Hotel at Southbank.

So many fun moments to share, including their pet coorgi dog as the ring bearer at their wedding ceremony.

Love, love, love the photography by the amazing Sal Singh Photography too. Enjoy!

We can’t wait for you to check out Shaheen’s beautiful velvet Sabyasachi lehenga too!

You have probably known us long enough to know how much we adore cross-cultural weddings.

Today’s wedding is no exception of course, with the lovely Erandi sharing everything with us about her beautiful and modern Sri Lankan Poruwa wedding ceremony which was held at the breathtaking venue, Gunners Barracks.

Overlooking the harbour, this gorgeous venue provided the perfect backdrop for Erandi and her groom, Daniel to host their intimate wedding and reception events.

Happy Valentines weekend maharanis!

Welcoming in the weekend with today’s stunning Punjabi wedding in Sydney. Karen and Sunny’s wedding took place across multiple days with multiple functions, designer outfits (not forgetting that Sabyasachi lehenga of course) and so much more.

We love when couples combine their traditions and heritage into their wedding. For Sydney based couple, Shilpa and Shakti, it was important to them and their families to have a mixed Marathi and Telugu wedding ceremony and it was certainly lovely to see. They tied the knot in Auckland, New Zealand at the BAPS Swaminarayan mandir followed by a beautiful reception at a private venue with sweeping views of the bay. They even had sheep present at their wedding!

We love featuring multicultural weddings on our blog. Today’s wedding is truly one for the ages though.

Lindsay and Miten’s gorgeous Indian fusion wedding took place at the historic Ashford Castle in County Mayo, Ireland. This 5 star hotel is one of the best in the world, full of luscious gardens and greenery all around.

A true fairytale love story and you’re going to absolutely love the romantic photography by Epic Love Photography.

Maharanis’ we have a gorgeous, Bollywood inspired wedding for you today.

Kanika and Ron’s Hindu wedding took place at multiple wedding venues across Melbourne in the summer of 2019. We love all the traditional feels and decor and there’s plenty of bridal fashion inspo from bride, Kanika too.
