Where are you based and do you travel for destination weddings?
We are based in the inner city suburbs of Sydney, Australia. Whilst Sydney is our home, you will also find us working on weddings and events across Australia and the world. Travel fees are dependent on location. This includes, airfares, accommodation and car hire. We prefer to be open and transparent with you if any travel is required from the moment you enquire with us to ensure we establish a positive relationship.
How long have you been in business and what is your experience?
Poonam has worked in the events, hospitality and tourism industry since 2010. She has worked in Melbourne (Australia), Cork (Ireland) and Sydney (Australia) across a range of different industries. She has a strong knowledge of all things related to weddings and the wedding industry, having interned with well-renowned wedding and event professionals. She has been in business officially now, since 2017. From running a highly popular wedding blog, to now planning events full-time.
Her design work has been featured in reputable local and international bridal publications and more recently she’s publicly hosted webinars and penned articles discussing multicultural weddings and inclusivity in the industry.
She is passionate about weddings and believes in creating out of the box stylish and memorable experiences to last a lifetime.
What sort of style of weddings do you plan?
We have a very eclectic style aesthetic, meaning that we can easily flow from minimalistic to lush romantic, rustic or vintage, traditional infused with modern touches. You’ll always get the best of both worlds with Poonam and her team.
At the end of the day though, the main source of inspiration is always you – the couple, because that immediately gives us a unique angle to work from.
What is the difference between planning and coordination?
Full wedding and event planning services involves a lot of logistics. We dedicate a number of hours determining your wedding theme to
guiding you with your budget and booking your venue and suppliers as well as negotiating contracts and agreements. We share our expertise and
knowledge with you across all areas of your wedding. Styling and design services as well as on the day management services are also included. If you need to organise rehearsals too, no stress, we have that covered as well.
On the other hand, wedding coordination (or on the day management) is when we manage your wedding or event in a limited capacity, a few months out from your wedding day. We really don’t want you to be an event manager at your own wedding, so we will take care of all the details in the lead up to your big day. Our job is to liaise with every supplier as well as your venue coordinator to work out the structure and logistics on the day. We also include a detailed run sheet which will also be circulated to every vendor involved at your wedding.
What if I have already booked my wedding venue or other suppliers?
No worries at all! We work with couples at any stage of their wedding planning. Or even if you have no idea where to start, we can help you build that vision from the beginning, middle or even closer to the final stages.
How many weddings or events do you work on each year?
We work on only a handful of events in a year, so it’s great if you can get in touch right away.
Do you have an insurance policy?
Yes, we are fully insured.
How much should I expect to budget for?
We highly recommend creating your guest list first and then proceed with budget planning. The average you can expect to pay per-person for a sit down event at a premium wedding venue is around $200. So, in that respect, it’s important to consider the price per person.
Poonam and her team work with events of all sizes and guest counts, so contact us to figure out if your budget expectations are in line with your
vision.
Do you plan any other events?
Yes, we love a reason to celebrate anything! From birthday parties, engagements or proposals to private at home dinner parties, contact us today to find out more.
