For lovers of contemporary Indian designs and minimalist aesthetics, this is the event for you!
Raw Mango brings a selection of saris and garments, each timeless and evoking memories of festivity and joy. Through motifs, materials and colour, they celebrate the deep rooted traditions of India – all of which heavily rely on the inherent beauty of handwoven craftsmanship and raw material.
Ranging from minimalist gold tissue saris, sooti cottons, simple colour block to more ornate banarasi silks or embroidered saris – each for whom the options are endless.
“The beauty of your wedding outfit is in the curation of the look, and not about the weight or cost. The taboo attached to the idea that one needs to wear heavy weight outfits and weigh yourself down with a ton of jewelry is something I can not comprehend, and our engineered panel Varanasi lehengas are an alternative choice. One should want to wear their jewelry or outfit more than once and actually use it, than admire it from afar (or the lockers). I think it’s important to not get carried away by trends, instead, explore your culture, tradition and heritage and think about the uniqueness each textile or fabric can bring, and of course, dress for your body type” says textile designer Sanjay Garg of Raw Mango.
Collections include saris, lehengas, kurtas, garments and textiles made through mashru, silk, chanderi, cotton and Varanasi brocades.
