Love Will Find A Way
Pooja and Dhaval’s love for each other has stood the test of time. Over the last nine years, the two have gone through a few personal ups and downs, only to overcome the battles, tying the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Mumbai.
Bride, Pooja shares all the details with us.
“Dhaval is a business man and I work in media. We’ve known each other for the last nine years, but we’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs before finally getting married in January. We both studied in the same school with him being senior to me. We never knew each other and then met in the last year of college.
We experienced a lot of ups and downs, but realized what’s meant to be will always find a way. Our families came together and we got married in January of this year.
Dhaval proposed to me during my favourite time of the year, Christmas! He planned a beautiful evening to pop the question.”
A Traditional Winter Wedding
Like most maharani brides, Pooja took her wedding planning inspiration from Pinterest and Instagram.
Both Pooja and Dhaval always had a simple, yet traditional Gujarati wedding in mind and the Winter wedding season happened to be the ideal time to get married.
The couple planned everything on their own with the support of their families.
“We are both happy-go-lucky kind of people and enjoy the little things in life. As we were on a budget, we decided to plan our own wedding.
It was a very exciting and beautiful phase in our life and so everything was organised, selected and coordinated by the both of us.”
With the help of wedding decorators, Mashru Decorators, Pooja and Dhaval created their dream Gujarati wedding incorporating subtle, traditional meets modern décor elements in their wedding and reception parties.
The celebrations began with an intimate mehndi party followed by a traditional Gujarati wedding ceremony and glitzy reception party.
Groom, Dhaval arrived in traditional Mumbai fashion on the back of a horse of course!
